Patrick joined BRI in 2008 as Outreach Coordinator and Wildlife Biologist with broad experience as a songbird biologist and educator. He greatly enjoys supporting student interns and sharing the life of birds as a window into the natural world. Since 2014, Patrick has led or supported the operation and mission of AFO’s Avinet Research Supplies business which provides the highest quality mist nets and essential equipment to field biologists. He has a strong focus using capture and banding as a research and monitoring tool.
Patrick’s current projects include wildlife monitoring and education at River Point Bird Observatory, West Falmouth, ME, and long-term breeding bird monitoring at Wells Research at Laudholm, Wells, ME.

Research Interests
Patrick has broad research interests related to (1) bird migration, behavior and connectivity, (2) bird monitoring, (3) ecological adaptation, and (4) the role of birds in the ecology of vector-borne diseases in Maine
