BRI and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have developed a collision risk model for predicting offshore wind risk to endangered bird species in the US Atlantic. The model, Stochastic Collision Risk Assessment for Movement (SCRAM), is currently in use by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the Fish and Wildlife Service, and the BOEM report has been released and is now publicly available here. Learn more about SCRAM here, and stay tuned for updates on an upcoming public webinar this fall on the model.
