Since joining BRI in early 2011, Deb has produced a wide variety of scientific communications pieces that help elucidate the complex science that ultimately informs those who are charged with the stewardship of our natural environment.
Over the course of her tenure at the wildlife institute, she has built an in-house team of professionals that provide the creative engine to power our communications and publishing department.
As editor-in-chief for BRI publications, she is responsible for developing editorial content for our quarterly ezine One Drop of Water, producing books under the Big Dipper imprint, and maintaining BRI’s high publishing standards.
In addition, she manages BRI’s public relations program, implementing national and international media campaigns that have resulted in coverage in high-profile outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Audubon Magazine, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, CBS News, and National Public Radio.
