Korik Vargas is a Lead Wetland Scientist for BRI Environmental and conducts biological evaluations, assessments, and vegetation baseline studies of wetland ecosystems. Korik completes field-based surveys to determine precise boundaries on the ground of wetlands and vernal pools.

Korik is a biologist and wetland scientist with over 10 years of experience. Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Korik worked with environmental companies in South America and later received his Master in Natural Resources at the University of New Hampshire. Korik has a strong passion for the environment with extensive experience in field work and a wide knowledge of plants and birds. Korik has a special interest in urban sustainability and how to promote a union between the environment and everything that concerns the urban ecosystems. Korik is always trying to discover new or alternative ways to find spaces that promote nature in an urban context.
